| From what I've seen of the adverts for it... I dunno what to think of it. The adverts doesn't quite make me want to see it, but I probably will eventually. Not at the cinema, whenever it's due out here, though.
In the movie's defence - I have no idea what the thing is about, and the adverts have not given me any idea of what it's about. A cute robot isn't enough to make me see a movie, however!

| I really want to see it, but it won't come out here for another couple of weeks. Pixar makes great movies, and this seems to be no exception. | |

| No Spoilers:
Oh My God. Almost certainly the best Pixar movie. It's...it's...wow. For starters, its unbelievably dense thematically. I mean, there's just tons and tons going on here, including romance, the definition of humanity, the beauty of nature, man v. machine, what it means to be alive...
The title character is the most instantly-likable character I have ever seen. It took about five seconds of seeing him on screen to be absolutely in love. He will go down as Pixar's greatest character to date, I'm nearly certain of it.
The trailers to this film give nothing away about what the film is truly about, so go in with an open mind and you will be unbelievably pleasantly surprised. Personally, I would have been immensely happy if the entire movie was just like the first five minutes, watching Wall-E roll around and do his job. This would (Trust me on this -- you'll agree with me) have made it about as awesome as most other Pixar movies, and they could have worked in a good story and a good theme. But this movie is so much more. SO much more. Judging by the reaction of the people in the theater when I went to see it, this will blow your mind and leave you stunned. It will also amuse the hell out of you, and it's true, one dimension to this brilliant film is that it's truly hilarious and not in a crass way or a pop culture reference way but in an amazingly deep, touching human way.
There are vital, vital messages here about the nature of humanity. The film is honest, and witty, and charming. It will take your breath away, it will make you smile. What a masterpiece.
PS: Hux, you don't have to worry about hippie takeover at all. Trust me.
