Have you ever met someone from the internet?
What was the meet up(s) like?

I have met people from the internets! My ex, and two of our friends, who lived near her but not me! It was good. They were cool, I visited them a few times in fact, always fun. I did not get raped.

I've met one person from the internet. He was a year older and came to study at the Illinois Institute of Technology in downtown Chicago. He came out to the suburbs to visit one day. He'd been bragging about how he was thwomping everyone in his dorm at SSBM, so I made it a point to crush his spirit that way when he came out.

He turned out to be a bit of a jerk. We don't talk anymore.

There's the Chicago meet-up approaching in about two weeks. I'm looking forward to that.

I sure have. It's usually pretty crazy and I oftrn come away with bruises. I don't know why. It...it just happens.

Sort of. I once saw a girl from a chatroom I used to go to a long time ago, but I didn't say hi or anything. She was walking into a store, just as I was heading out of it. That was it xD

I also wonder if that's going to happen to me sometime, because I live really close to The Captain. I think Aerith Knight lives in upstate NY, because I'd cry if I ran into him. xD

I met both of my best friends on the internet. Neither of the meetings were that awkward, come to think of it. Possibly because we had been talking to each other for so long it just felt natural to communicate in person.

I hope that's what it's like for Hux and I this September, and my other English chums that I'll be visiting in about a year.

Met some eoff folks before that too.

It was always awkward to begin with but not bad after that usually. If it was then I tried to distance myself after the initial encounter. ;__;

Now I live with eoff's own Bert.

Yeah, Aerith's Knight (if his location at EoFF is to be believed) lives in Albany which is like a 30 minute drive from my house (which to us upstaters is not a long drive, RYE). Luckily I've never seen a picture of him so I wouldn't know if I ran into him (hopefully the same is true for him and knowing what I look like).

As far as meeting people from the internet goes, I can answer this positively with multiple connotations. I've met people in real life that I knew only from myspace (lolz) or facebook, but who lived near me or went to the same school as me (I just met them/first talked to them through the internets). And I've gone to a semi-EoFF meetup with enano, Jowy, Misfit, and Marick (it was more of a #eoff meetup, considering that's where they mostly hang out and that's where it was planned). The meetups was fun.

I met my boyfriend IRL a few times >.> Also, some of his friends who I also know online.

I've never met anyone from online.

But anyone who would have a hissing fauna avatar might be worth meeting.
